At Taybar, we’re proud to say that we’ve been working for over 20 years to provide exceptional security solutions to our clients in Belper and across the UK. By creating bespoke solutions suited to your unique needs, we make sure that you always get a solution that’s able to meet your security needs every time.
Because we firmly believe that taking a “one size fits all” approach leads to mediocre solutions and leaves businesses without the security they deserve.

Alongside our great local knowledge of the Belper area, this makes it hard for our competitors to match our level of service, whether it’s event security that protects your premises and guests from a wide range of common events risks, a key holding and alarm response service that protects your premises during downtime, or any of our other services.
And our NSI Guarding Gold Medal and our membership with ACS Pacesetters are both testament to this, firmly placing us in the top 15% of security contractors in the whole of the UK.

For any company that wants to hold itself to the highest of standards, recruiting the right people is absolutely key. At Taybar, we’re always trying to push the ceiling of industry standards, by being proactive and taking steps to make sure that we always hire the right people.
That starts with a stringent recruitment process. From thorough vetting and background checks to detailed character assessments, we make sure that all of our recruits are suited to the job. Plus, we ensure that they’re SIA (Security Industry Authority) licensed and have at least 3 years in a similar role.
But we don’t stop there. Even once they’ve joined the team, our security officers will continue to undergo regular training to make sure that their skills are always sharp and their knowledge up to date.
So whether you’re receiving a Manned Guarding service, a concierge service, or any of our other services, you can be sure they’re being delivered by some of the best professionals in the industry.
As an SIA approved security contractor, we’re officially licenced to provide security services across the UK. But it hasn’t always been so easy to recognise legitimate security contractors.
Before the SIA was introduced, there was no national licensing for security contractors. Instead, contractors would have to get permission from each individual local council to provide security services in the area.
Beyond being an administrative nightmare, this also meant it was hard for the industry to create national standards that security contractors could hold themselves too. But now, with the SIA, the standards have been raised.
When it comes to event security, we’re industry experts, meaning we’re perfectly suited to provide security for events of any nature or size.
Our concierge service combines an unbeatable level of customer service with a security solution carefully designed to keep your business, all delivered by our reliable security officers.
Even when you’re away for extended periods of time, you can rest assured that your vacant premises are being protected from any number of criminal threats.
Positioned at a permanent station, our Manned Guards will protect your business in a number of ways, such as first aid response, access control, and more.
Whether it’s a primary school, university, or any other type of educational setting, we know exactly how to protect it, and have already done so for over 700 clients.
Providing access control, crowd control, and a number of security functions, our SIA approved security officers will blend in with your team whilst keeping in constant communication.
Through our Lock and Unlock service, we’ll patrol, secure, and alarm your premises following a carefully crafted security plan, complete with signage and risk assessments.
From small independent stores on the high street to national department stores, we know how to protect your store from theft, break ins, and any other type of criminal behaviour.
By following procedures uniquely designed to protect your business, our highly trained security officers provide a high level of protection through our Mobile Patrols Service.
By carrying out in depth site surveys to identify the criminal risks your site faces, we’re able to create the perfect security plan before putting it into action.
Our Key Holding and Alarm Response service protects your keys while your premises are closed and helps us quickly react whenever the alarm is raised.

I cannot recommend the team of Taybar Security highly enough. In my experience Taybar are extremely reliable and will bend over backwards to help out, often going the extra mile to ensure a job is done in a timely fashion. They have always responded to any call out promptly and take immediate action to secure a building if the need has arisen.

Situated in the Amber Valley District of Derbyshire, the town of Belper has a long history that stretches at least 900 years into the past, if not further. The town was mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086, with the name of the town believed to have originated from Old English meaning of “a hill where the spring is at the side”.
In the early 13th Century, the town was best known for its nail making industry, with the River Derwent providing the necessary water power for the industry to blossom. Over the centuries, Belper has also operated as a market town.
During the industrial revolution, the town experienced a boom in growth thanks to emerging textile manufacturers and cotton mills that emerged in the area. In fact, some of these mills including Strutt’s North Mill and Belper East Mill are now classed as UNESCO World Heritage sites, and provide a popular attraction to visitors in the area.
Belper also features other historical sites, such as St Peter’s Church which dates back to the 14th Century, and the Belper Triangle which the town surrounds. The town also features modern attractions too. The Belper River Gardens, Memorial Gardens, and Belper Parks Wood attract a number of visitors to the area by offering scenic walks and green spaces.
Despite a relatively favourable crime rate of 40 crimes per 1,000 people, Belper still finds itself in the top 45% of the most dangerous places to live out of all the villages, towns, and cities in Derbyshire.
Crime rates have also been steadily climbing in Belper over the last few years, with a 37.5% increase in crime between 2019 and 2022.
Worryingly for Belper residents and businesses, Violence and Sexual Offences were the most common type of crime in Belper by a large margin, making up around a half of all crimes committed in Belper in 2022. This was followed by Anti-social Behaviour and Public Order crimes. And in terms of areas in Belper, Belper Town Centre experiences the highest rates of crime in the town.
Luckily, we’re here to help. With a strong knowledge of the local area, over two decades of experience, and a team of professional and SIA licenced security officers, we have the knowledge and the resources to meet your security needs.
So whether you need a Mobile Patrol service, a key holding and alarm response service, or any of our other services, get in touch with us today to find out how we can protect your Belper business or premises.
